Guidelines

The intent of the Family Resource page is to provide family members an opportunity to advertise their business, services or talents to other family members, and hopefully offering the family a discount, though there is no obligation to do so. Bartering services is also encouraged.

Advertisement submissions are subject to review and approval. No pornography or other objectionable material not suitable for family review is permitted. Approval or rejection of an advertisement is the responsibility of the site administration and any decision is final.

Advertisements will be reviewed annually and their owners contacted for renewal.

Space for advertising is provided free of charge to family members. However, a monetary donation is appreciated as server space is not free and that cost is covered by personal funds. 

If a family member wishes to have a full-page ad on our site, please contact the administration at admin@ylafamilia.org. A small rental fee may apply.

Non-family members (that is, anyone not qualified to be included in our family tree) are not permitted to advertise on this site except by special permission and at the discretion of the site administration. A fee may be assessed.

Instructions

  1. Tell us your link to the family tree. That is, how are you related to our family?
  2. Provide a general topic heading for your product or services (example: Computer Repair or Book Publisher, etc.). You may select an existing heading if it matches your topic or suggest a new heading.
  3. (Optional) Supply a banner advertisement. Banners may be GIF or JPG format. Size of the banner must not exceed 350 pixels in width or 200 pixels in height. If you wish your banner to be linked to your site, provide the link. Banners must reside on our site. Dynamic linking and inclusion of banners from your site will not be permitted.
  4. (Optional) Supply a brief description of your product or services. Three or four lines of text is reasonable. The site administration reserves the right to edit your description if it is deemed too long or is written poorly or is confusing. You will have opportunity to review and approve the suggested revision.
  5. (Optional) Supply your website location (if you have one) and contact information (either email, phone, address).
  6. Include the requested information in an email. Attach your banner (optional). Mail your advertisement application to admin@ylafamilia.org.
  7. If you are interested in a full-page ad, contact us before submitting your material.
